Story and Gameplay

Behind the Frame – The Finest Scenery Is a visually stunning hand-drawn point-and-click adventure-style game made by indie developers Silver Lining studios and published by Acapura games. The story begins by introducing us to an aspiring female artist, and she’s on the brink of finishing the final piece of her portfolio submission to the New-york exhibit. As her painting starts to take shape, you’ll uncover the emotional narrative of chance and artistry revealed behind unrelated yet familiar moments as a young woman takes her brush across the canvas. As you progress throughout the story, you’ll uncover clues and solve painting-fuelled puzzles with gadgets and furniture scattered across the artist’s house.

Soundtrack

The audio is well done with sounds such as brush strokes, the morning breeze, and the coffee brewing. The music is pleasant and relaxing, and it is just the tip of the iceberg of a beautiful story and a beautiful visual presentation of the game itself.

Verdict

The gameplay mechanics are interesting, even though it’s what you would expect in a Point and Click game. The story is a bit straightforward initially but surprisingly rich in the end; the developers have impressively put such a deep and enthralling story into a short game. The game is visually stunning and wonderfully written. The only downside is that the story is very short, and you can finish this game in less than 2 hours, but it’s safe to say that it’s still easily worth the price tag.

Behind the Frame – The Finest Scenery is Available in iOS, Google Play, and Steam.
